Match your text to the app you are using
Let Voicy adapt the layout for an email, chat message, document, or note.
Context-aware formatting helps Voicy recognise the kind of app you are writing in. It can format an email differently from a short chat message or a document.
Check the setting
- Open Voicy → Settings.
- Find Advanced settings and click Open.
- Find Context-aware formatting.
- Turn it on to use app-aware formatting, or off if you do not want to use it.
It is on by default on a new installation. Your saved setting may be different.
Use it while writing
- Open the email, document, or message you want to write.
- Click in its writing area before starting Voicy.
- Record your words as usual.
- Stop and check the result.
You do not need to choose “email” or “note” yourself. If you want a particular greeting, structure, or tone every time, use Custom Modes.
What information is used?
With this setting on, Voicy uses information about the app and window title to tailor the formatting. It is not a screenshot of your screen. This information is not retained by Voicy or used to train AI. See Privacy and your recordings.
