Speak your questions to ChatGPT or Claude
Use Voicy to write a question or instruction into an AI chat.
Voicy turns your spoken question into text in the AI chat's message box. You can check and edit it before sending it.
Write your question
- Open Voicy and leave it running.
- Open ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI tool you use.
- Click inside its message box.
- Tap your Voicy recording shortcut.
- Speak your question or explain the task.
- Tap the shortcut again to stop.
- Read the text, make any changes, then use the AI tool's send button.
You do not need to turn on the other app's voice conversation feature. These steps write text using Voicy.
Organise longer instructions
In Voicy → Custom Modes, create a mode using the Prompt example. Select it while recording to turn a longer spoken request into clearer written instructions.
If the message box stays empty
Copy the saved transcript from Voicy → Home → History, click back in the message box, and paste. Check the text before you send it.
The AI service you send the message to has its own privacy settings and policies. Voicy's privacy promises cover Voicy's handling of your dictation.
