Using Voicy

Paste your last dictation again with a shortcut

Set keys that paste your latest saved successful transcript into another text field.

On this page

The paste-last shortcut reuses your latest successful transcript without recording again. It is separate from your recording shortcut.

Set up the shortcut

  1. Open Voicy → Settings → Advanced settings → Open.
  2. Turn on Paste last transcript shortcut.
  3. Click the shortcut field that appears.
  4. Press the keys you want together, then click Save shortcut.

Choose different keys from your recording and Rewrite Mode shortcuts.

Paste the latest text

  1. Make a successful recording with History switched on.
  2. Click in the writing area where you want that text again.
  3. Tap your paste-last shortcut.

Voicy pastes the newest successful entry available in local History. Check that it is the text you intended, especially if you have made another recording since then.

If there is nothing to paste

Open Home → History and check for a successful entry. Deleted or expired entries are no longer available. You can also use Copy beside a specific entry to choose exactly which text to paste.

To turn the shortcut off, return to Advanced settings and turn off Paste last transcript shortcut.
