Voicy can remove hesitation words such as “um” and “uh” from your finished text. This can make a spoken message easier to read.
Turn filler-word removal on
- Open Voicy → Settings.
- Turn on Punctuation commands.
- Find Remove filler words below it and turn it on.
The setting is off by default on a new installation. You can turn it off again in the same place.
Try it
- Open a note and start a recording.
- Say a short sentence with a hesitation, such as “I would, um, like to meet tomorrow.”
- Stop recording.
- Check that the finished sentence keeps your meaning without the hesitation word.
AI formatting can sometimes make other changes as well. Read the result, especially when the exact wording matters. A selected Custom Mode may also have its own instructions about simplifying text.
