Save an instruction for Rewrite Mode
Reuse instructions such as “Make this shorter” without saying them each time.

Saved commands are instructions for text you have selected. You can keep up to nine commands. To change a new dictation instead, use Custom Modes.
Save a command
- Open Voicy → Rewrite Mode.
- Make sure Enable Rewrite Mode is on.
- Under Saved commands, click Manage commands.
- Click Create command.
- Type your instruction, such as “Make the selected text shorter while keeping its meaning.”
- Click Save, then Done when you have finished managing commands.
Use a saved command
- In your document or other app, highlight the text you want to change.
- Tap your Rewrite Mode shortcut.
- Click the saved command shown above the recording box, or press its displayed number.
- Read the rewritten result when it arrives.
Choosing a saved command submits that instruction; you do not need to speak it. Use the number shown at that moment, because the order can change when commands are added or removed.
Edit or delete a command
Return to Rewrite Mode → Manage commands. Click Edit, change the title or instruction, then Save. Click Delete to remove a command.
Rewriting needs an internet connection. If Voicy says no text is selected, highlight the words first and try again.
