Getting started

Update Voicy to the latest desktop version

Check your app version and install an available update.

Updates include fixes and improvements.

Check your installed version

  1. Open Voicy → Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom.
  3. Look for Version.

Update on Mac or Windows

Voicy checks for updates while running. It normally downloads and installs available updates automatically, and may restart as part of installing them. Finish important writing before installing an update yourself.

If you have turned on Settings → Advanced settings → Disable automatic updates, Voicy still checks but waits for you to choose Update now. Follow the update notice in the main window. If it offers a restart, choose it when you are ready.

Update on Linux

With a .deb or .rpm installation, use your system's software updater or get the current package from the Linux download page. These package installs use a manual update path rather than Mac or Windows' installer flow. AppImage installations can use the app's update notice when offered.

If updating fails

Check your internet connection and free disk space. If Voicy reports missing or damaged app files, reinstall from the official download page. If the problem continues, email [email protected] with your computer type, version, and the update message.
