Data we collect
Voicy only captures audio data that is created when you record your voice. All of your voice recordings are stored on your personal device. The audio file is sent to the WhisperAPI for transcription. As soon as the transcription is ready, it is sent back to the Chrome extension to be displayed on the text field that you have used Voicy on.
Voicy does not store any user data
Voicy does not share any data with third parties
As Voicy is hosted on the Chrome web store, we receive anonymised usage data on our Chrome developer account. The data does not include any personal information and solely displays daily installs, uninstalls, and basic analytics.
Use of permissions
Local Storage: We store information on user preferences locally on your browser. The data is only used to shape the way Voicy works on your browser and to remember your usage preferences.
You have full control over your preferences and are able to change them at any point in time.
